This is awful news. But Rest In Peace Tyler Bates. Tyler's service will be Tuesday April 9, 1:00 at Evangel Pentecostal Assembly 4461 - 50 Street NW.

Royals pictures April 6 6:00 - at Scotty's Chili dogs and pops.

Our season had it's ups and downs but our Captain (and only 21 year old) Kody DePaoli was a consistent leader. He used his shoulders, effort, voice and sometimes his emotions to help guide the Royal. His time with the Royal has come to close, but will now be a Royalamainiac forever. Our team really came together late in the season and winning 2 playoff series helped our confidence. We showed our youth a little to much, in that our emotions got the best of us from time to time, yes I mean we talk to much. But the group was always fun to be around. We added Nathan and Kate to the team this year and what great additions they both were. I could go on for a long time about the little things that got done because of the time and effort they put into the team. Thanks to all our great volunteer's, the stuff that goes on behind the scenes is incredible. It makes coaching easy.... till next time.

That's it, another addition of Royals Hockey came to a close. We lost the game 3-5 and the series 1-3. Our last goals were scored by Gavin Olito, Mason Shukalak and Shawn Kempster with assists too Shawn Kempster, Ethan Land, Nick Orsini and Timon Mueller. Shots 41-37, PP 1-7 and PK 6-9. The special teams hurt us and the injuries didn't help but we fought till the end and good luck to the Warriors in the finals and provincials. The boys went off the board with the Write-In Royalamainiac by choosing Jason Buzzell (from the 2001 Provincial Championship Team). (6).

The big ice will be our friend, but not last night as we fell 1-4 in Game 3. Colton Broomhall scored our goal from Devin Cooney and Ethan Land. Shots 23-32, PP 0-6 and PK 4-5. Keep pushing the play boys and good things will happen on the scoreboard. Staying focused on our task's will help. Our Write-In Royalamainiac was Kevin Bain. (6).

We put the Fun back into a Friday Night with our 7-3 win in Game 2 of the series. Scoring for the good guys were Ethan Martinson, Jaymon Mathew (3), Ethan Land, Gavin Olito and Kayden DePaoli. With assists going to Will Kulmatycki, Timon Mueller, Blair Bush (2), Brayden Evans, Kayden DePaoli, Devin Cooney, Evan Klutke, Mason Shukalak, Ethan Land, Nick Orsini, Sean Kempster, Lucas Conroy-Dutton and Ethan Martinson. Shots 48-30, PP 1-5 and PK 4-5. Home cooking and using our shoulders helped the scoreboard turn in our favor. Everybody is starting to not like each other - both on the ice and in the stands (there is a little history there, right Arnie). The Belt went to Ethan Land. Our Write-In Royalamainiac was Tyler Heddle. (6).

No good, 3-8 loss in game 1. Nick Orsini, Ethan Martinson and Gavin Olito scored from Ethan Martinson (2), Mason Shukalak (2) and Gavin Olito. Shots 32-30, PP 0-3 and PK 4-5. Every playoff game needs the respect, that it is the playoffs and we need to feel that edge and compete. We will bring it. Our Write-In Royalamainiac was JF Royer. (7).

We dug deep, supported each other and scored on the PP. 'Ya Baby put it in the win Column' 3-1 was the score to take the series 3-2. Ethan Land got us on the board in the 1st with Devin Cooney and Jaymon Mathew in the 2nd. Assists to Mason Shukalak, Shawn Kempster, Nick Botros, Will Kulmatycki and Ethan Martinson. Shots 18-25, PP 2-6 and PK 8-8. We earned a bunch more bruises with all the shot blocks, hits and taking hits to make a play. The Belt was given to Brayden Evans. Our Write-In Royalamainiac was Logan Walters. (7).

Not the result we wanted 0-4. Shots 27-30, PP 0-9 and PK 5-6. We can look at a lot of things but it comes down to playing as a team and not individuals. Those team plays are the ones that will get us to the next level. Lets get back at it. Our Write-In Royalamainiac was Liam Skitch. (8).

No one said it would or should be easy but we need to earn our wins - 1-4 for the bad guys in Game 3. Our only goal came from Gavin Olito with an assist to Mason Shukalak. Shots (always inaccurate out here) 18-33, PP 1-5 and PK 4-6. The empty net goal made it look worse than it was but our level of compete wasn't there. Shooting the puck in the open net is important as is finishing your check. Our Write-In Royalamainiac was Mitch Cunningham. (8).

We played with one goal in mind and achieved that goal - a 5-4 victory. The game started a little slow but the 1st period ended up with 7 goals, ours came from Will Kulmatycki, Jaymon Mathew (2), Lucas Conroy-Dutton and Mason Shukalak. Assists to Shawn Kempster (3), Jaymon Mathew, Will Kulmatycki, Devin Cooney, Nick Botros, Evan Klutke and Mason Shukalak. Shots 46-30, PP 2-8 and PK 4-6. We earned more bruises and kept adjusting to the head shots. Speed kills and we will keep getting faster. The Belt went to a very subdued Jaymon Mathew. Our Write-In Royalamainiac was Andy Fox. (8).

Well it took a little longer than we planned, but we earned the result - 4-3 in Overtime. We scored in every period with Ethan Martinson, Mason Shukalak, Shawn Kempster and with the winner Will Kulmatycki. Setting them up were Shawn Kempster, Ethan Martinson, Gavin Olito, Nick Orsini and Jaymon Mathew. Shots 32-32, PP 1-8 and PK 4-6. We played a fast paced attacking style and stayed on the forecheck. Lots of leaders and bruised earned. The Belt was awarded to Will Kulmatycki. Our Write-In Royalamainiac was Ryan Rosich. (9).

We had a goal to start the series 'it was 2 wins' and mission accomplished. 4-2 was the final score and 2-1 in games. Once again our defensemen were heavily involved with the scoring - Ethan Land and Kody DePaoli getting on the board with Ethan Martinson and Evan Klutke the others. Assisting the goals were Ethan Land (2), Mason Shukalak, Gavin Olito, Kayden DePaoli, Lucas Pringle, Shawn Kempster and Nick Orsini. Shots 34-37, PP 0-4 and PK 5-7. A total team effort resulted in the win. Some Royalamainiacs made it out to the game and down to the room after - always nice to see. Belt to Ethan Land. Our Write-In Royalamainiac was Brenden Klutke {might be the 1st time a Write-In guy was at a game that he was featured}. (10).

I always up the twitter page quickly but don't always get in to work to update the web page. Maybe it gets done quicker after a win, we lost Game 2 -4-6. New guy Demar March scored our 1st goal (also his 1st as a Royal), with Jaymon Mathew, Nick Orsini and Shawn Kempster the others. Set up guys Shawn Kempster (Nolan you got jobbed), Evan Klutke, Kayden DePaoli, Blair Bush, Colton Broomhall, Ethan Land and Lucas Pringle. Shots 40-42, PP 2-5 and PK 2-4. We need to do a better job on their big line and shoot the puck in the net when we have it behind their goalie. Our Write-In Royalamainiac was Mik Mykietyshyn. (11).

Ya Baby - Royals win the 1st game 4-3. The defencemen chipped in a couple goals - Lucas Pringle and Lucas Conroy-Dutton with Will Kulmatycki and Colton Broomhall finishing them off. Assists to Ethan Land (2), Devin Cooney, Jaymon Mathew, Gavin Olito, Colton Broomhall, Will Kulmatycki and Timon Mueller. Shots 38-29, PP 0-4 and PK 2-3. We played hard and our forecheck was very effective. The Belt was awarded to Brayden Evans (welcome back). Our Write-In Royalamainiac was Taylor Shukalak. (11).

We took the cold drive out to Wetaskiwin and came home empty 5-7. There were a lot of good things in the game but we are playing for the 2 points. Goals - Devin Cooney (2), Nick Botros (2) and Will Kulmatycki. Assists - Ethan Land, Kayden DePaoli (2), Colton Broomhall, Kody DePaoli, Evan Klutke and Timon Mueller. Shots 32-62, PP 2-8 and PK 5-6. Our 3rd period comeback stopped a bit short and ended with their empty net goal. The legs got a little tired but the heart and smarts were there. Off to the fun stuff.

Very weird as the game against St. Albert was recorded as a tie. Because the glass broke at one of the rink and the repair guy took to long to get to the rink to fix it (yes I know Cutman would have done it in 5 minutes) but we weren't aloud to do that by our rink guy. The extra win came as a result of the Mustangs forfeiting a win because they played an illegal player.

We are starting to understand that bruises equals wins, we earned a few and earned the 5-3 win out in Beaumont. Evan Klutke picked a corner for our 1st goal with Jaymon Mathew, Mason Shukalak (2) and Will Kulmatycki. Assisting the goals - Lucas Pringle, Nolan Conroy, Will Kulmatycki (3), Evan Klutke and Jaymon Mathew. Shots 29-39, PP 1-4 and PK 2-2. We are staying focused and it shows with our penalty total - pims after the whistle. This is working out on the scoreboard. We need more ice bags. The Belt was awarded to Braden Potter.

That's more like it,a 5-2 win to send the Warriors home north sad. The PP got things going with Lucas Pringle and Shawn Kempster scoring, Jaymon Mathew and Colton Broomhall at even strength with Ethan Land into the empty net. Assists to Timon Mueller, Shawn Kempster, Mason Shukalak, Ethan Land, Will Kulmatycki, Lucas Pringle (2), Devin Cooney, Kayden DePaoli and Max Currie. Shots 38-23, PP 2-5 and PK 6-6. We battled hard most of the night and got a little nasty when needed. The Belt went to Evan Klutke.

Not the outcome we wanted 5-8 to Wetaskiwin. Lots of good things all night and a few bad choices really hurt us. Will (back to back hat tricks) Kulmatycki started and ended our scoring, Blair Bush (1st as a Royal) and Kayden DePaoli the rest. Assists to Jaymon Mathew, Shawn Kempster (2), Mason Shukalak, Nick Botros, Evan Klutke (2), Nick Orsini, Colton Broomhall and Lucas Conroy-Dutton. Shots 46-48, PP 2-4 and PK 0-2. A better last minute of play in each period would have helped. We all need to defend the 200 foot area a bit better.

We played hard and won 6-0 against the Bruins. Ethan Martinson scored his 1st goal as a Royal with Will Kulmatycki (3), Mason Shukalak and Ethan Land. Setting them up Timon Mueller, Evan Klutke, Jaymon Mathew (3), Will Kulmatycki, Shawn Kempster (2), Ethan Land (2), Ethan Martinson and Nick Orsini. Shots 47-16, PP 1-3 and PK 3-3. Almost had a full roster and pushed the play all night. The Belt went to Will Kulmatycki.

On a rare Sunday away, we proved we prefer home cooking - 4-6 to the Jets. Evan Klutke got us on the scoreboard then Will Kulmatycki (2) and Devin Cooney. Setting up the goals Will Kulmatycki, Colton Broomhall (2), Jaymon Mathew, Kayden DePaoli, Mason Shukalak and Ethan Land. Shots 46-30, PP 2-6 and PK 3-4. That was better but we play for 2 points. A few guys really stepped up by playing different positions and giving us a chance.

It's tough to do updates when you don't go to work on the weekend and we lost. Friday night 3-8 in Fort Sask. Devin Cooney scored his 1st goal as a Royal with Will Kulmatycki and Jaymon Mathew the rest. Assists to Shawn Kempster, Jaymon Mathew and Will Kulmatycki. Shots 32-38, PP 0-5 and PK 1-2. We are a work in progress that has a very high upside, but we need all hands on deck.

We laid a smelly egg in our 2-6 loss the the Knights. Mason Shukalak and Will Kulmatycki scored our goals - from Will Kulmatycki, Shawn Kempster, Mason Shukalak and Lucas Conroy-Dutton. Shots 36-42, PP 2-4 and PK 3-3. Hard to believe that this was the same team as Wednesday. AHHHH!!

That's more like it - we win 5-0 against the Mustangs. Lucas Pringle scored his 1st goal as a Royal with Shawn Kempster, Will Kulmatycki (2) and Kayden DePaoli the rest. Assists to Nick Botros (3), Matt Iverson-Houle, Jaymon Mathew (2), Colton Broomhall, Nick Orsini and Kody DePaoli. Shots 46-30, PP 0-3 and PK 4-4 with 2 shorties. Max got his 1st shutout as a Royal as well. We passed, skated and battled like a team that wanted 2 points. More importantly we stayed away from the stuff after the whistle. Lucas Pringle took the belt home.

The score was a lot closer than the game and we skated away with the 3-2 victory over Leduc. Mason Shukalak got us on the board with Jaymon Mathew and Nick Botros the others. Setting up the sweet goals were Ethan Land (2), Nick Botros, Will Kulmatycki, Matt Iverson-Houle and Mason Shukalak. Shots 46-29, PP 0-9 and PK 5-6. When we grow up and stay away from the shit after the whistle we will put in a solid 60 minutes. Max Currie was awarded the Belt and also picked up his 1st win as a Royal.

It's been a tough get back to work from holidays, but here we go. The trip to play the Icemen was good for over 2 periods but the game is 3 - 4-10 loss. Scoring for the good guys Gavin Olito, Will Kulmatycki (2) and Kayden DePaoli with assists going to Timon Mueller (2), Jaymon Mathew, Lucas Pringle and Brayden Evans. Shots 31-46, PP 3-10 and PK 4-6. Our mouths got us into trouble and that shortened up the bench at the wrong time.

Not the way we planned to end 2018 but we did 3-7 loss out in Sherwood Park. Jaymon Mathew, Mason Shukalak and Evan Klutke scored. From Blair Bush, Shawn Kempster (2), Ethan Land and Lucas Conroy-Dutton. Shots 34-37, PP 1-5 and PK 4-7. We did a lot of good things but our sights were off on our sticks, but just by inches. Lets rest up and let the dings heal up over the next 2 weeks. Mele Kalikimaka and a Hauoli Makahiki Hou - or Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Trips north are so much fun when you drive home 2 points - we accomplished this with our 1-0 win over the Red Wings. Gavin Olito scored the only goal of the game half way through the 3rd period from Kayden DePaoli and Colton Broomhall. Shots 30-41, PP 0-1 and PK 5-5. This has been a season of very interesting calls by the stripes guys (and it always is when you go to this rink) but for the 1st time in my life a Ref offered to bet me 1000.00 that he made the correct call on a penalty - he was and is wrong (both on the call and asking for a bet). Are you kidding me!! Our PK was stellar. Brayden Evans earned the belt - and picked up his 1st penalty of the season as well [nice call on that one as well].

The work boots were on as we skated to a 10-1 victory against Stony Plain. Kayden DePaoli scored his 1st hat trick of the season with Braeden Nesbitt, Jaymon Mathew, Will Kulmatycki (2), Mason Shukalak, Nick Botros and Colton Broomhall. Assisting the goals were Ethan Land (2), Gavin Olito (3), Jaymon Mathew 2), Blair Bush (2), Mason Shukalak, Kody DePaoli, Lucas Conroy-Dutton (2), Will Kulmatycki (2), Nick Botros, Colton Broomhall, Braeden Nesbitt, Matt Iverson-Houle and Nolan Conroy. Shots 57-24, PP 2-6 and PK 5-5. We almost played 60, it was fun to watch. The Room-de-Royal was rocking after. Kayden DePaoli was awarded the belt.

It was a successful trip out to the county 8-2 win vs the Bruins. Lots of goals in the 1st and 3rd coming from Matt Iverson-Houle, Ethan Land (2), Gavin Olito (2) {we gave him his hattrick puck but the gamesheet didn't}, Kayden DePaoli (2) and Colton Broomhall. Assisting the goals Nick Botros, Kody DePaoli, Ethan Land, Colton Broomhall (2), Nick Orsini (2), Gavin Olito and Timon Mueller. Shots 35-31, PP 1-5 and PK 5-5. The Belt was awarded to Gavin Olito.

We continued to work and compete all game, this got us what we came for (the 2 points) with a 3-2 shoot-out win over the Icemen. Will Kulmatycki and Gavin Olito scored in regulation with assists to Mason Shukalak, Shawn Kempster, Nick Botros and Nick Orsini. Shots 45-61, PP 1-5 and PK 5-5. Mason, Nick B and Ethan scored with Brayden shutting the door in the shoot out. Being hard to play against is what we strive for. The Belt went to Brayden Evans.

Lots of things improved, as well as our record, 5-3 against the Riggers. Solid goals be Mason Shukalak, (2), Will Kulmatycki, Kayden DePaoli and Colton Broomhall. With assists to Gavin Olito, Braeden Nesbitt, Colton Broomhall, Will Kulmatycki, Ayden Justice-Riar and Nolan Conroy. Shots 44-36, PP 0-3 and PK 2-3. New Braden with the win (his 1st as a Royal) and we dug a little deeper in the 3rd to earn the 2 points. Braden Potter earned the Belt.

We gave up a goal in the 3rd to drop this one 1-2 to Fort Sask. Kayden DePaoli scored our only goal from Even Klutke and Nick Orsini. Shots 36-41, PP 1-5 and PK 8-9. We got tired because of the poor decisions we made to go to the box. Didn't have the legs when we needed them, to get a couple inches closer, so we could shoot the puck in the net.

Nope this was worse - 2-6 for the bad guys. Braeden Nesbitt and Nick Orsini scored from Will Kulmatycki, Nick Orsini, Braeden Nesbitt and Jaymon Mathew. Shots 32-42, PP 1-4 and PK 3-3. We didn't compete so we didn't deserve to win - but how do you not comment on the guys with whistles (Oops 2 guys 1 girl). Lets compete hard.

This might have been the most weird game called by the 3 guys with whistles we have ever seen - good news is we skated to a 5-2 win. Goals came from Will Kulmatycki, Lucas Conroy-Dutton (1st as a Royal), Shawn Kempster and (welcome back) Jaymon Mathew. With assists to Braeden Nesbitt (2), Colton Broomhall (2), Gavin Olito, Mason Shukalak, Nick Botros (2), Kayden DePaoli and Lucas Conroy-Dutton. Shots were 48-15, PP 0-5 and PK 7-7. We were more dangerous killing penalties than it seemed we were on the power play. The Belt was awarded to Lucas Conroy-Dutton.

Wow we played hard and very well but came up short 0-1 to the Knights. Shots 44-25, PP 0-7 and 4-5. This was one of the fun ones, for this season. Everything you would want, except the goals we expected and created. Good game, bad result.

It took a bit to get untracked, after the highway drive that was like a parking lot, then 11-2 in Spruce Grove. Our goals were scored by Nick Botros (2), Shawn Kempster (his 1st hattrick in 4 years), Braeden Nesbitt (2), Gavin Olito, Colton Broomhall (2) and Nolan Conroy (his 1st as a Royal). We passed the puck a lot better than the assists indicate but here they are, Evan Klutke, Will Kulmatycki (2), Colton Broomhall, Mason Shukalak (2), Gavin Olito, Shawn Kempster, Nick Orsini (2), Braeden Nesbitt, Timon Mueller, Blair Bush (2), Lucas Conroy-Dutton and Ben Bodnar. Shots 48-40, PP 2-2 and PK 5-6. Our goalie was better than theirs, all game, and that made it look easier than it was. The over full lineup helps. The Belt was awarded to Gavin Olito.

Our 1st OT and Shootout game ended badly as we fell 4-5 to the Mustangs. Kayden DePaoli, Nick Orsini, Gavin Olito and Will Kulmatycki scored with assists going to Will Kulmatycki (2), Shawn Kempster, Nick Orsini and Mason Shukalak. Shots 49-39, PP 0-8 and PK 5-8. It looks like it was all special teams and that is close to it. We are doing better staying focused but we have to close out games better.

Rats a bad 21 minutes 3-6 to Warriors. You may be able to tell we aren't very happy. Goals - Shawn Kempster, Jaymon Mathew and Will Kulmatycki - assists Jaymon Mathew, Gavin Olito, Nick Orsini and Shawn Kempster. Shots 29-28, PP 1-5 and PK 4-5

Happy times came to Confed as we skated to a 7-1 win against Leduc. A short handed goal (when we were down 0-1) by Ethan Land (his 1st official as a Royal) was the catalyst that kickstarted the goals - Braeden Nesbitt, Jaymon Mathew, Evan Klutke, Gavin Olito (2) and Nick Orsini scored the others. Setting things up Ben Bodnar, Evan Klutke, Ethan Land, Mason Shukalak (2), Gavin Olito, Timon Mueller, Braeden Nesbitt (2), Nick Orsini, Jaymon Mathew, Shawn Kempster, Kayden DePaoli and Nick Botros. Shots 45-27, PP 1-7 and PK 5-5. We got stronger as the game went on and made a couple mental mistakes that kept the score down. The Belt went to Ben Bodnar.

We did a lot of good things but fell short on the scoreboard 3-5 in Beaumont. Our goals came from Nick Botros, Gavin Olito and Colton Broomhall with assists to Shawn Kempster and Braeden Nesbitt. Shots 42-31, PP 0-6 and PK 6-6. We broke down a little on some transition rushes but defended pretty well. The chances we created didn't get the touch we needed. Keep checking hard.

The good guys got a little healthier and skated to a 7-2 win over Fort Sask. Evan Klutke (2) got us going with a huge goal with only 20 seconds to go in the 1st period, Will Kulmatycki (2), Braeden Nesbitt, Colton Broomhall and Mason Shukalak. Setting things up were Adam Koshy (2), Ethan Land, Jaymon Mathew, Nick Botros, Ben Bodnar, Colton Broomhall, Braeden Nesbitt (3), Mason Shukalak (3) and Nick Orsini. Shots 48-34, PP 0-2 and PK 1-1. We scored 3 goals in 39 seconds in the 2nd period, nobody remembers that happening before. On a side note we took only 1 minor penalty in the game. The Belt was awarded to Nick Orsini.

We won 10-4 out in the county against the Bruins. We should have been happy after the game..... Timon Mueller got his 1st goal of the season to start us off with Kayden DePaoli, Gavin Olito, Nick Orsini, Mason Shukalak, Jaymon Mathew (2), Will Kulmatycki, Nick Botros (1st as a Royal) and Ben Bodnar - lots of guys getting 1st's in the game. Assists to Nick Botros, Ethan Land (3), Colton Broomhall, Ben Bodnar, Lucas Pringle (3), Shawn Kempster (3), Timon Mueller, Nolan Conroy and Jaymon Mathew. Shots 47-37, PP 3-5 and PK 5-6. Like I said we should be happier, after a 7-0 lead in the 1st period we lost our respect for our opponent and got frustrated that they didn't quit playing. We didn't react very positively and paid a bad price for it. The belt didn't get awarded cause the coach guy was too choked after the game to .....

We played a very workman like game and were rewarded with a 3-2 win in St. Albert. Braeden Nesbitt (2) led the scoring, with Shawn Kempster getting the other. Assists to Mason Shukalak, Nick Orsini, Kayden DePaoli and Kody DePaoli. Shots 45-26, PP 1-6 and PK 3-3. We were a little shorthanded but everyone stepped up and filled a different role. We then rode that to success on the scoreboard. The belt went to Kayden DePaoli.

That was much better - 4-2 against the Jets. We started a little slow, but not much, goals by Braeden Nesbitt (2), Jaymon Mathew and Shawn Kempster make things fun. Setting them up were Nick Botros, Mason Shukalak, Gavin Olito (2), Shawn Kempster, Timon Mueller, Ethan Land and Brayden Evans. Shots 36-20, PP 0-6 and PK 6-6. We stayed away from all the chirping that slows us down and made things happen with our speed. The belt went to Shawn Kempster.

The drive out to Stony Plain was better than the drive home as we had to swallow the 2-3 loss. Our goals came from Shawn Kempster and Evan Klutke with assists to Ethan Land, Braeden Nesbitt and Lucas Conroy-Dutton. Shots were 29-25, PP 1-5 and PK 6-7. We have to find a way to stay focused and not so much wasted effort yapping at refs and other players. That and being healthy so our lineup can be more consistent would be nice.

It was a good weekend as we got some sick guys back and skated to a 6-2 win over the Regals. Hard work got us on the board first with Ben Bodnar (2), Shawn Kempster, Mason Shukalak (2) and Braeden Nesbitt scoring. Setting up the goals were Kayden DePaoli, Timon Mueller, Jaymon Mathew, Ethan Land, Nick Botros (3), Ayden Justice-Riar, Mason Shukalak, Braeden Nesbitt, Adam Koshy and Kody DePaoli. Shots 40-21, PP 3-6 and PK 3-4. We had a bigger bench with a bunch of sick looking faces, but the extra bodies helped with our 60 minute team speed. The belt went to Braeden Nesbitt.

The road has been good to us as we take home the 2 points, with a 4-1 victory out in the Fort. Braeden Nesbitt (2) started the scoring with Ben Bodnar and Kayden DePaoli getting the others. Assists went to Jaymon Mathew, Ben Bodnar, Nick Botros (2) and Lucas Pringle. Wow have we ever been getting the long in tooth refs, I remember when they were just short and had a big ego, now you can add old to their long list of memorable habits. Shots 36-38, PP 1-5 and PK 9-10. For all the time we spent in the box (AGAIN) we were able to control the play and keep them to the outside. We will keep learning and work on being focused - this will take us a long way and get us to where we want to be at the end of the season. The belt went to Brayden Evans.

The North came South and took home 2 points as we fell to the Red Wings 2-3. Lighting the lamp were Jaymon Mathew and Braeden Nesbitt with assists going to Braeden Nesbitt, Lucas Conroy-Dutton, Ben Bodnar and Ethan Land. Shots 26-30, PP 0-4 and PK 5-6. That's 2 3 on 5 PK goals we have given up this season, both in the last minute of a period - not good. We like the way the team is heading, skating hard and crisp passing is a good start. Lets get better on the scoreboard.

YA BABY!! We skate to a 9-3 win out in Leduc. All the oars were in the water and pulling hard. First, the 1st as a Royal goals by Ben Bodnar, Matt Iverson-Houle and Adam Koshy also Brayden Evans 1st win as a Royal. The other goals went to Braeden Nesbitt (2), Kayden DePaoli, Jaymon Mathew, Mason Shukalak and Evan Klutke. The assists are a little short but that is what the gamesheet says - Ethan Land (2), Timon Mueller, Nick Orsini, Mason Shukalak (2), Kayden DePaoli, Braeden Nesbitt, Jaymon Mathew, Evan Klutke and Nolan Conroy. Shots 47-34, PP 3-6 and PK 6-7. We just kept skating and things started going our way and the pressure paid off. Winning is fun. The belt went to Kayden DePaoli.

The Royalamainiacs are everywhere and up to all kinds of things. Jason Buzzell 'Provincial Champion 2000/2001' put together a #myjerseystory video that hits home to lots of us. Enjoy

Oops, that wasn't the weekend we planned for as the good guys lost 5-7 to Beaumont. Shawn Kempster scored our 1st shorthanded goal of the season with Braeden Nesbitt scoring his 1st goal as a Royal and his 1st hattrick Jaymon Mathew also scored his 1st as a Royal. Setting the goals up were Timon Mueller, Lucas Conroy-Dutton, Ethan Land (2), Kody DePaoli (2), Ben Bodnar, Evan Klutke, Brayden Evans and Nick Orsini. Shots 30-58, PP 1-6 and PK 6-9. The good - lots of points by our d-men, solid goalie play and a nice hatty. The bad - lack of 200 foot compete and poor penalties. Lets get ready for a good week of practice.

It was not the way we wanted to start the game or season as we fell 3-6 to the Knights. We gave up a goal in the 1st minute and were down 1-4 after the 1st, not good. But recovered very well and just fell a little short in the end and gave up an empty netter. Mason Shukalak scored our 1st goal of the season, with Kody DePaoli and Kayden DePaoli (credited to Kayden but probably Ethan's). Assists to Will Kulmatycki, Braeden Nesbitt, Shawn Kempster (2) and Jaymon Mathew (2). PP 2-3, PK 3-3 and shots 27-33.
