about the EDMONTON ROYALS

We’ve Got Team Spirit

1986, the Colorfast Junior BB team was renamed Strathcona Legion. We then entered the Edmonton Junior Hockey League where we remained until Joining the Capital Junior Hockey League. The team Royals was incorporated in 1989 after the loss of sponsorship from the Strathcona Legion. John Anderson, Jim Craig has passed away (players will wear a "JC" patch on the jerseys for the entirety of the season), and Willie Rolleman & Miles Palmer were instrumental in the formation of the Club.

The Royals evolved from the Juvenile BB team Curtis Hoover with name changes of Colorfast, Strathcona League, Dougs Place Royals and now Edmonton Royals.

Our Mission

ï‚·          Emphasizing the importance of the team game. Winning is great but losing teaches valuable lessons. Skill development equally important as game sense and hockey IQ. Mistakes are inevitable, we must learn from them.
ï‚·          Improvement as a player and a person on the ice and in the community. Instilling consistency in practice and in games.

By doing the little things right, the bigger things take care of themselves.
